Why was the Vinted Canada platform closed?

In 2021, we launched Vinted in Canada using a different technical platform than we use in other countries. Unfortunately, it proved too challenging to maintain the standards of experience that we want to give our members worldwide. That’s why we’ve made the difficult decision to close Vinted in Canada for now. All features are no longer available, but you can still contact our support team and update your bank details to ensure you receive any outstanding funds. Important If you’re still having any issues with ongoing orders or payments, your account will be closed once you finish the orders and receive your funds.

What happened to my account?

Your account was closed on February 12, 2024, if you had no issues with orders or outstanding funds. We have deleted and anonymized most of the data related to your account. We will keep certain data for 9 more months in case there is a dispute. Afterward, we will only retain limited information for tax and accounting purposes for up to 10 years. Important If you’re still having any issues with ongoing orders or payments, your account will be closed once you finish the orders and receive your funds.

I haven’t been paid

If you still haven’t been paid for your sales, please update your payout details: 1. Go to your Profile, Settings, Account settings and Bank account 2. Press Add new bank account 3. Enter your new payout details 4. Set your new payout details as the default option and remove any old ones. 5. Your payout will be automatically transferred to your new bank account within the next 48 hours Before initiating a transfer, our payment service provider may request proof of your identity, such as a copy of your ID card, passport, driver’s license, or your bank account statement. In certain instances, we may require both your proof of identity and your bank statement.
